Call Day #94, 2/1/12

Enjoying wearing her bathrobe, no bath required.  She just likes it.  Went to bed in it earlier this week.

No surprise, Eleanor's doing puzzles again.

But this one's 3D.  How are these things supposed to work?

We've done this many times but it doesn't get old.  Using droppers and food coloring to color leaves.

We exhausted our supply of leaves today and moved on to coffee filters.

The book for the week is set in northern Canada.  We talked about the Arctic and which countries could be considered to be in the Arctic.  Then, we made an igloo, a new word/concept for Eleanor.

She was proud of it, and ran to get some people to enjoy it.

Then, Eleanor said it needed a door.  So, we added an animal skin door (brown construction paper).  People were lining up to get in!

Hooray for a warm day!  We used our new dress-for-the-weather chart before we went outside!  (Yesterday Nanny and Eleanor made a chart that shows what outerwear should be worn at different temperatures.  Hopefully, this will eliminate the arguing over what to wear that have been occurring every time we try to leave the house.)  Eleanor knew that today was Thomas sweatshirt weather.

This afternoon I had four little charges to watch over.  Everyone shares a snack at the park.

Eleanor and Claire got a package from Grandma and Grandpa.

The puzzle had to be done right away, of course.
