Breakfast isn't always so smooth. We prayed for our breakfast, I stepped out to get the camera, and came back to this. They both wanted to add to our prayer but talked at the same time, got mad at each other, then Eleanor shook her milk cup in frustration spraying Claire in the face with it, and Claire started crying.
Eleanor enjoyed some color-your-own-stickers.
We made pretzels this morning. Claire helped.
Eleanor and the "2013" pretzel. We talked about a new year starting and what years they were born.
They spent time in the guest room together, sometimes arguing sometimes playing. This was one of the good moments when there were lots of giggles. They were wrestling.
Because I had yet another ultrasound today, we headed out to the hospital. Normally waiting at the bus stop is not so fun, but Eleanor and Claire found the neighboring snow-covered yard to be a perfect diversion.
Talking about the snow.
Realizing that digging down into the snow too much means it gets in your sleeve.
Riding the bus.
After the ultrasound, we headed over to the children's hospital to visit Daddy. While we waited the kids ran up and down the musical stairs.
Claire visited the fish.
Eleanor watched the balls.
And we got to see Daddy for a few minutes.
Waiting for the bus back home, Claire shows off her people gloves (mine when I was little).
After a rest time, Eleanor and I talked about the new year starting at midnight. We talked about how each new day starts then too while we're sleeping. She filled in the numbers on a paper clock I had made for her with no trouble. We talked about how the little hand has to go around the whole clock two times a day. She asked if we could make noise makers to celebrate. She apparently remembers that's what we did last year!
