Call Day #140, 4/9/13

Counting out money to pay me back for the princess cup she bought last night for Claire, for a late birthday present.  She knew that 10 dimes were a dollar and that she needed four dollars.

Putting quarters into her dresser so she'll have it handy to take to the mall for the candy machines when we go to Chick-Fil-A.

Finally nice enough to be outside!  At the park with friends, making "a feast" at the park.  (Claire took her new cup from Eleanor, on the table.)

Claire "doing construction" with the new scooping toy at the park.

Fun with a wagon.

Excitement over the first street sweeper sighting of the year.  The driver laughed as the kids ran alongside him as he drove by.  (Thankfully, a neighbor rang my doorbell this morning to let me know that I had mistakenly parked on the wrong side of the street.  He even moved my car for me since I came down with Oliver in arms and other kids still upstairs.  SO grateful since they were ticketing AND towing today.)

Claire posing by the raccoon in the tree.

Raccoon.

Eleanor asleep after a rough afternoon behaviorwise (major understatement!).  The page on the chair is some of what Erik and I have been talking with her--being humble rather than selfish, obeying rather than being defiant, etc.  She's so peaceful here after SUCH a battle this afternoon.  Several tears shed by me today over the consequences she received for her actions.  Claire was concerned for me, giving me hugs and kisses and saying "It's okay, Mommy."  Thankful for her sweetness today.
