Activity for our book of the week. We made bottles with glitter and water that helped illustrate how fluid in our ears keeps moving after we spin and makes us feel dizzy.
We were talking about our ears and balancing because our book is about a tightrope walker. The kids liked pretending they were walking on the high wire.
A balance beam was a good stand in for a high wire too.
Trying it with a pole for added balance.
Eleanor pretends to make an omelet like the main character in the story did while balanced on the high wire.
Claire wasn't too sure about the balance beam but didn't want to be left out either. She shuffled a bit side to side.
Girls eating lunch at the park.
After nap we went to go get our van that ended up on another street since that was the only place to be found on street cleaning day.
"Skylish" Claire. The crazy hat came from a trip to Michael's and she really has fun wearing it. The combination with the sunglasses makes it a bit more over the top.
Since our van was parked by our friends' house we stopped by. They were making fun face snacks out of orange and apple slices and raisins and we got to join in.
Snack time with friends.
